HUMDA Lab colleagues were also actively involved in the selection and evaluation of the research, development and innovation themes of the programme.
Performanceology is a next-generation data analysis and training platform that helps simulator racers active in e-sports develop and prepare for competitions from beginner to professional level. The other finalist, Raceliner, received a special mentoring award from the programme's professional partner, the Embassy of Israel in Budapest. Their idea is a helmet-mounted device that helps find the most ideal curves on race tracks for racers and amateurs, motorcyclists and drivers alike.
The HUMDA Startup Programme, which was launched for the first time in 2021, has brought to the surface fresh technological innovations that will help develop the automotive motorsport sector and all mobility-related fields. In addition to providing financial funding to the best projects, the finalists received industry support from Dr. Sándor Kling, Humda Lab's chief technology expert and Managing Director of Kling Technology, Norbert Michelisz, 2019 World Touring Car Championship champion, Dr. Barna Hanula, Associate Professor and Dean of Széchenyi University, and Gábor Talmácsi, 2007 MotoGP World Champion. The teams also participated in business development training, where they learned about service and product design, product strategy, business and financial planning and intellectual property protection, among other things. The second phase of the training specifically prepared the best teams for the investment pitch.
Other partners in the programme were the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, the National Intellectual Property Office, EIT Urban Mobility, Széchenyi University of Győr and Xponential Transylvania.
